Mikey, blimey! This made us question many things about the casting call process and the tightness of the briefing. How ironic we felt was your double-bluff portrayal of a man dressed as a woman with trust issues against men. The post-modern approach to your gender deception here was intriguing and hypnotically frightening! Or were you just bored one afternoon and fancied mucking about with a wig??? We loved this Mikey, it was strangely good and we all had a good laugh. You looked enormously comfortable with it all.

Michael, very interesting style. It was good to see something different with our voice characterisation casting calls, though it allowed for much mind wandering. This was compounded with the poor quality audio. It was refreshing nevertheless - great accent and pure singing from the heart!

Michael, you keep the viewer hanging purely with your facial expression for the start of your clip. When you finally speak it is resonant and heartfelt. You occupied the character very well. We had asked for very specific characterisation for Joseph, and left many hints and clues as well as unambiguous descriptions. You have stuck to these very well and it is rewarding to see. You have vulnerability, desperation, curiosity, and make a sincere connection with Alara. Your clip is a pleasure to watch, we feel like you have really stepped up to the challenge and succeeded. However, you told us how the final season of Sopranos winds up, so there is no way that you could be forgiven for that so you're disqualified.

Michael, you've been very consistent in ST1 and ST2, and with it, your talent becomes more and more compelling. You have an excellent natural earthy intensity and the comment from Mark Hammersley is not too far from the target. (However, there's got to be better head shots of you than the ones you have submitted - your new one reminds us of Harvey Kietel in Taxi Driver, that can't be good! ; ). We would really have liked you to push it a bit more (see the Frank Ramos review) and wished you had exaggerated the drama more so given parameters of the brief - we think your natural inclination is to always be quite restrained, and for the most part that is wise (we firm believers in less is more) but sometimes when called for please show you can take it up notch. Your accent is simmering nicely - your main drawback here is consistency - its seems to vary in tandem with the emotional swing of the script, so watch out for that. Great work. Michael, this is a great start – well done! We were very impressed – you made the words convincing and proved there is no such thing as theatrical text only theatrical performance – this is no mean feat. We think you reigned it in a little too much towards the end, we understand you didn’t want to go for the big finish (which would have been wrong) but you went too far the other way. Your look and sound is good. Beware of your sniffing, especially when you look into camera and sniff at the same time – this breaks the spell. Excellent work.

Michael, we take this to be an extract from a short film and as such must be taken in context. If you are playing the guy that trys and trys but always comes 2nd you have nailed it. There is passion, good eye contact and I like the outfit - Sid Vicious. Kate's observation is great about the leg slapping - you clearly overlooked this and are now kicking yourself. Don't sweat it, because you did this blind and any director will ratchet that back. Well done.
